We specialize in breeding of American Pet Budgies and English Show Budgerigars (Parakeet Budgies). We do sell our pet-type budgies at this time, however our show budgies are not bred for selling. At this time we do not sell our English show budiges unless we reach a point of having too many in the aviary and need to make room for new birds. If this happens, the individual birds will be shown in the Birds for Sale section. We hope to provide the general public with further information on budgies via this website; as pets, breeding and showing. Our goal is boost the knowledge of those who wish to learn, and in the end provide more birds with quality lives and better quality breeding. We love healthy competition and have taken up the challenge to help further improve upon the show budgerigar to the best of our ability. Hand Raised Budgies:

Our pet budgies (also known as American Budgies or Parakeets) are bred for color. They have BAA bands (26W) and hatch certificates. All pet budgies have a 7 day heath guarantee which is included in the sales agreement. We believe in parent raising our birds until at least 2-4 weeks of age at which time we will help supliment hand feedings to begin the hand raising process to raise tame budgies who are comfortable with human interaction. We will ship birds via USPS for 2 or more birds, although we prefer to sell locally as it does cause unnecessary stress to the bird if it can be avoided.

Our birds are fed a specially balanced low fat, high protein diet including L'Avian seed mix, Zupreem natural pellets, fresh vegetables & fruit, cooked bean/rice mix, millet spray treats, and Kaytee Hi-Cal grit. We strongly recommend quality seed and a fresh veggie/fruit diet for a healthy budgie. Our hand fed babies are given Kaytee Exact hand feeding formula until weaned. We do not force wean our birds, but wait until they are fully self weaned, and none of our budgies are allowed to go to their new homes until after they have been fully weaned.

Budgie Rescues:

We do handle the rescue of parakeet budgerigars in the St. Louis, MO area. We work closely with several other avian rescue centers to help rehome abandoned pet birds. If you wish to inquire about adopting a rescued budgie, please contact us or check out the Birds For Sale.  

Our Show Budgies:

All of our exhibition budgies (English show budgerigars) are close-banded with ABS or BAA bands and we try to track the full pedigree up to 5 generations using The Budgerigar Program 2006 whenever possible. We are currently in the novice division of the ABS & BAA, but working hard to climb the ranks... please join us on our journey! All of our bloodlines come from quality champion breeders in the ABS & BAA, who we are proud to have as mentors along the way. We are currently focusing our breeding efforts this season on goldenface, spangles, and cinnamons in a variety of colors (greens, blues, violets, greys). We are also trying to work on the start of a possible brownwing line from a stud we are trying to breed.

Our goal is to be able to provide other breeders and pet owners with items not easily available at most US-based pet stores that promote the health and quality of life for our birds.
